it suggested cruthin not people called themselves, neighbours called them.


the name cruthin survives in placenames duncrun (dún cruithean, fort of cruthin ) , drumcroon (droim cruithean, ridge of cruthin ) in county londonderry, , ballycrune (bealach cruithean, pass of cruthin ) , crown mound (Áth cruithean, ford of cruthin ) in county down. these placenames believed mark edges of cruthin territory.
