the kallarawa massacre incident on may 25, 1995 during ltte cadres massacred 42 sinhalese men, women , children in kallarawa. remaining civilian survivors fled village after incident leading depopulation. survivors sinhalese, tamil , muslim communities have returned kallarawa under protection of sri lankan army.
