the gallery opened in 2003 in carnegie hill neighborhood on new york city’s upper east side integral part of jeanne greenberg rohatyn’s home. designed architect rafael viñoly, gallery features dedicated exhibition space on first floor , combination living/gallery space on second. inaugural exhibition presented video work gallery artist aïda ruilova. subsequent exhibitions have featured work betty woodman, maya lin, wangechi mutu, hanna liden , nate lowman.


salon 94 freemans

in 2007, gallery opened additional location on new york’s lower east side @ freemans alley dedicated exhibition space. first exhibition featured work gallery artist huma bhabha , subsequent shows have featured lorna simpson, carter, barry x ball, kara hamilton , lynda benglis.


salon 94 bowery

in october 2010, gallery opened third location on bowery on new york’s lower east side. located 2 doors down new museum, space designed architect rafael viñoly dedicated exhibition venue. prominent feature of gallery 20-foot (6.1 m) lcd video screen on outside wall broadcasting video art content street.


the inaugural show presented work gallery artist liz cohen. subsequent shows featured marilyn minter, laurie simmons, jon kessler, francesca dimattio, , david benjamin sherry. during construction phase, gallery presented t-shirt paintings richard prince.
