on november 11, 2012, 3 people killed , 4 others wounded after supporters of assir clashed supporters of hezbollah in southern city of sidon. assir stated have blood score settle hezbollah can settled blood , , considered forming armed resistance group defend lebanon israel believed hezbollah s weapons had been pointed internally.

during 23–24 june 2013, heavy street fighting erupted between lebanese army , gunmen loyal assir in sidon accused of provoking attack. sixteen lebanese soldiers, thirteen assir supporters , approximately 4 hezbollah militants killed. bodyguard of cleric, tried reach fighting negotiate ceasefire, died. more 100 lebanese soldiers wounded, 13 pro-assir militants. lebanese army requested country s politicians intervene. on monday june 24, 2013, lebanese army commandos seized complex controlled gunmen loyal assir in southern city of sidon, shortly after fled premises unknown destination.
