in may 2009, bitdefender support criticized being unresponsive. bitdefender responded saying aware of problems, , take steps solve it. attributed problem unexpectedly high surge in customers. currently, company s website claims support available 24/7 on telephone, e-mail, livechat, , online knowledge base.

on 20 march 2010, computers running bitdefender under 64-bit versions of windows affected malfunctioning update classified every executable program dll files infected. these files marked trojan.fakealert.5 , moved quarantine. action led software , systems malfunctions affected users around world. bitdefender representatives announced removal of faulty update , workaround users affected, except using 2008 version.


comodo firewall incompatibility

as of version 2012 of bitdefender, comodo firewall , bitdefender cannot co-exist. currently, there no official solution there unofficial solutions in forums of bitdefender.


asus aisuite incompatibility

bitdefender incompatible asus aisuite2 , asus aisuite3, motherboard optimization suite of software bundled asus motherboards enables automatic overclocking, power tuning , fan control. bitdefender claims incompatibility due ndis asus driver (winpkfilter lightweight filter), prevents installation of bitdefender files .
