during 33rd legislative assembly, moorcroft took stance against yukon government s proposal invest $200 million twinning alaska highway through whitehorse , opposed fracking in territory member of select committee on hydraulic fracturing. moorcroft put forward motion, adopted unanimously, make territorial campgrounds more successful.


moorcroft once again defeated when seeking re-election, time in 2016 yukon general election. finished distant third behind yukon party cabinet minister scott kent , liberal candidate , city councillor jocelyn curteanu. moorcroft 1 of 4 new democrats lose seats on election night part of party s worst showing since 1978.
