on lower crosspiece of central cross back statues (géminée) depicting mary cléophas, piéta , mary magdalene on 1 side saint john, statue of risen christ , saint peter on other. on upper crosspiece 2 men on horseback, saint longinus , stephaton, 2 soldiers @ crucifixion. longinus pierced jesus side carries lance whilst stephaton carries sponge soldier gave jesus sponge soaked in vinegar. on reverse side of 2 horsemen depiction of jesus tied ropes ( christ lié ). jesus hangs central cross , sculpted back ecce homo. crucified jesus surrounded 4 small angels collecting blood running wounds. note jesus nailed cross 2 thieves tied crosses rope.
