first diagnosed in november 2005, fletcher achieved fame constant struggle against illness while studying @ reepham high school, norfolk, united kingdom. credited doing raise awareness leukaemia sufferers, particularly through work anthony nolan trust. work , life earned him considerable attention in local newspaper, eastern daily press, size of double-page-inside spreads.
