the two-storey building , commercial ground floor has u -shaped plan, rear volumes on terrace. principal facade oriented south, facing rua das flores, has 8 windows iron grate on first floor, , windows surmounted triangular lintels. ground floor aligned these windows; there 5 oval window , 6 doors, 2 far larger , surmounted 2 stone coat-of-arms (for bravo , ferraz). prominent roof overhang supported granite machicolations.
in yard there octagonal centralized chapel. first-storey courtyard decorated in granite flagstones , defined support wall incorporates dolphin , bowl once must have been fountain.
the interior marked vaulted wall (now closed) between 2 entrance gates. there wide staircase leading main floor, includes 2 lateral lances of stairs , central flight. on guardrails situated 3 granite columns, bases , capitals.
