the magdalen college boat club (mcbc) has experienced great success in recent years. magdalen held oxford head of river between 2004 , 2007, winning summer eights competition in each of these years. summer eights prestigious university regatta held in oxford. men s 1st torpid became head of river in 2008 torpids. having dropped 2 places in 2009, regained 1 place in 2013, places them second behind pembroke. women s 1st torpid became head of river in 2010, retaining title in 2011, 2012 , 2013.

as mcbc, magdalen college represented teams in football, hockey, rugby, netball, cricket, lacrosse , squash, amongst others. college prides on wide array of facilities renovated , updated, , alumni provide assistance purchase of kit , other necessary expenses.
