on 3 january 2012, airbus military signed firm contract kazspetsexport, state company belonging ministry of defence of kazakhstan, supply 2 eads casa c-295 military transport aircraft plus related service support package spare parts , ground support equipment. additionally, memorandum of understanding (mou) has been signed further 6 c295 aircraft, separate firm contracts signed progressively on next few years. first 2 aircraft delivered april 2013 , remaining 6 aircraft delivery schedule defined on following years. purchase represents quid pro quo. in 2008, eads made titanium sourcing agreements kazakh suppliers.


in may 2012, kharkov morozov (a ukrainian company) agreed $150 million contract kazakhstan engineering jointly produce 100 btr-4 armored personnel carriers (apcs). deliveries begin in 2012, 10 btr-4s delivered. remaining vehicles delivered in 2013.
