second generation (2013–present)

hyundai developed second generation i10, planned release in beginning of 2014. development of new i10 started in india in 2012, using kia picanto test mule individual parts.

in august 2013, i10 s redesign revealed hyundai s european design team led thomas bürkle. new car 80 mm (3.1 in) longer, 65 mm (2.6 in) wider , 50 mm (2.0 in) lower outgoing model. new dimensions result in trunk space increase 10%, totaling 252 liters. versions can seat 5 occupants.

the new car made debut @ 2013 frankfurt motor show. i10 arrived in european showrooms in january 2014.

the engines offered on european model follows:

1.0 litre 3 cylinder petrol 66 hp (48 kw) , 94 nm (69 lb-ft) of torque
1.0 litre 3 cylinder bifuel 67 hp (49 kw) , 90 nm (66 lb-ft) of torque (on lpg)
1.2 litre 4 cylinder petrol 87 hp (64 kw) , 120 nm (88 lb-ft) of torque

production of i10 commenced @ hyundai assan otomotiv s plant in İzmit, turkey, in end of september 2013, @ annual capacity of 200,000 units.

hyundai motor india ltd. released new model in september 2013 grand i10; slots between first generation i10, continue manufactured indian market, , i20. grand i10 differentiates european model wheelbase increase 100 mm (3.9 in). grand i10 launched in september @ prices ranging rs. 4.29 lakhs rs. 6.41 lakhs.

on february 2014, hyundai asia resources, inc. (hari) announced details on philippine market version of grand i10. u2 crdi engine not offered in country; instead, base models come 1.0 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine while 1.2 litre 4 cylinder engine reserved range topping l automatic transmission model.

the grand i10 offers host of features, dual toned interiors, enlarged cabin space, keyless entry, push button on/off , auto folding outside mirrors automatically open , fold when car unlocked , locked. in addition, car equipped rear ac vents , 1gb internal memory store music, both first in segment.

in beginning of 2014, hyundai released grand i10 in mexico. car offered 1.2 litre 4 cylinder engine in market.
