the i10 launched 1.1 litre 65 bhp (48 kw; 66 ps) i4 irde engine, same motor used in kia picanto , hyundai atos prime/santro xing lower co2 emissions.


i10 kappa 1.2

the i10 comes 1.2 litre petrol euro 5 compliant engine (called kappa engine), same co2 emissions 1.1l version. spark plug of 1.2l non standard.


i10 diesel

a 1.1 litre 3 cylinder diesel crdi variant available in europe, has not yet been introduced united kingdom , indian market.


i10 electric

hyundai launched i10 electric in delhi auto expo; expected available in india 2011. i10 based electric car called blueon.


i10 kappa-2 1.2

in 2010 hyundai launched facelifted version of i10 in india uses kappa ii engine vtvt technology further improve performance of engine. hyundai engineers have taken existing 1.2 litre 4 cylinder kappa engine , added vtvt (variable timing , valve train). i10 first small car in country receive variable valve timing making it, on paper @ least, sophisticated 1.2 litre engine in segment (the honda jazz has i-vtec head segment higher).


this system, working on intake side, helps in altering valve timing , lift according situation , improves low end responses , fuel efficiency. vtvt hasn’t increased horsepower , still rated @ 80 ps (59 kw; 79 hp). engine reported feel more refined , show little vibration @ higher revs
