on november 27 episode of raw, hardys had first shot @ tag team gold in 5 years. took on world tag team champions rated-rko (edge , randy orton), came short when edge hit jeff in belt himself , orton deliberately disqualified retain title. same day, hardys posed open challenge team ecw brand s ecw december dismember accepted reuniting mnm (johnny nitro , joey mercury). after run in on intervening ecw on sci fi, hardys defeated mnm @ pay-per-view, starting feud between 4 men spanned both brands. hardys got first chance gain wwe tag team championship @ armageddon, original tag team match changed 4 team ladder match involving hardys, mnm, dave taylor , william regal, , paul london , brian kendrick. despite coming short, hardys sparked feud mnm when mercury legitimately injured. while jeff , nitro continued battling on intercontinental championship on raw, matt , mercury feuded on smackdown!. mercury , nitro tried injuring both hardys faces payback happened @ armageddon, claiming hardys had ruined mercury s hollywood looks . hardys settled feud mnm @ royal rumble when defeated them second time. matt , mercury continued feuding, however, settled @ no way out.

the hardys battle each other in 2009

on april 2, 2007, episode of raw, hardys won world tag team championship sixth time in career after winning ten team battle royal. after losing singles bouts both lance cade , trevor murdoch, hardys retained world tag team championship @ both backlash , judgment day against team of cade , murdoch. @ 1 night stand, hardyz retained titles against world s greatest tag team (charlie haas , shelton benjamin) in ladder match. next night on raw, however, hardys lost championship cade , murdoch, when jeff missed swanton bomb , pinned cade after murdoch pushed foot off of bottom rope of ring. cade , murdoch attacked hardys championship belts after match. hardys got rematch @ vengeance, unsuccessful after jeff hit sitout spinebuster cade.

the hardys once again returned wwe on november 13, 2007 episode of ecw on sci fi face montel vontavious porter (mvp) , mr. kennedy, match scheduled november 16 episode of smackdown!. hardys unsuccessful in return porter pinned jeff win. hardys, announced , referred once again hardy boyz, reunited once again in 2008, on june 23 episode of raw in losing effort john morrison , miz. match occurred after jeff drafted smackdown brand (the same brand matt). loss, however, caused matt drafted ecw brand. on july 15 episode of ecw, hardys reunited in home state of north carolina, defeating morrison , miz. hardys teamed on october 31 episode of smackdown , on november 3, on raw, winning both matches.
