biography

born shauna mckenzie, girl in family of boys, etana grew in eastern saint andrew community of august town. vocal talent discovered when 8 years old , overheard singing along 1991 hit group air supply.

her fourth album, clive hunt-produced rise, released in october 2014, , entered billboard top reggae albums chart @ number 7, , topped chart in second week of release. remained @ number 1 spot 4 weeks. etana first female top reggae billboard chart in on fifteen years
