in april 2005, new york state governor, george pataki – former mayor of peekskill – secured initial funding lincoln depot museum housed in freight depot building. groundbreaking project took place on february 9, 2011, time lincoln depot foundation had secured approximately $3 million. building ;s restoration completed in may 2013, new york s office of historic preservation. museum opened public on october 18, 2014.
